As many of you are aware my retirement will start June 1, 2019.  In leaving I wish to express my profound thanks to a wonderful Mission and outstanding Board of Directors and Staff.  Their support all these 21 years has made my ministry as Executive Director for 16 years and Men’s Director/Chaplain for 5 years, delightful.  Could not have done this without knowing my Heavenly Father’s will for me and in relying on His faithfulness to provide for all of the Missions needs and seeing Him alone change the lives of those who are here.  Thanks to the wonderful community partners for their support in helping the Klamath Falls Gospel Mission be their best in the services they offer to this community.

Now the great news.  The Board of Directors wishes to announce Ron Hicks, who has served as Men’s Director for the last 8 years, to serve as Interim Director starting June 1.   Ron brings to the position a wealth of knowledge and understanding of Mission work.  His greatest asset is the heart for the men and women the Mission serves.

In addition to this staff change, our part-time Chaplain Steve Flecken who has served in this capacity for the past 3 years, will become a full time Men’s Director/Chaplain effective June 1. Steve will continue to direct the spiritual program as well as the programs just for the men at the Mission.

TJ Yates who served us well as the Administrative Secretary for 5 years and as a Board of Director’s for 9 years will also have her final work day May 31st.  She has loved the men and women well here and will be greatly missed.

Please pray for the Klamath Falls Gospel Mission Recovery Center during this time of transition in the leadership positions.

So very thankful for your friendship and prayers these past 21 years.  To God be the Glory………….

Kent Berry
